How To End The Wasted “Busy” Days

Find yourself really “busy” but have no real measurable results at the end of the day? Staying focussed on whats important can be hard. Here is a simple process to “snowball” your daily tasks to crush your goals and find satisfaction at the end of the day.

Recognize

Recognize what needs to get done in the day or week and make a list. If you don’t write it down you forget about it. We love the quote:” Things that aren’t put down on paper get left in the mind, and a short pencil is better than a long memory when it comes to your dreams” (Dr. Demartini “The Breakthrough Experience”). If its important, write it down so it doesn’t cloud your mind and so you remember to get it done. Once the tasks are down, its a great idea to prioritize them.

Focus

This can be the hardest part of the whole process. It amazes me how easy it is to get distracted and off track. It is easy to be doing things but not really accomplishing our goals. I will often times start on one task and then remember something else that I need to do. I will start working on the other task and not complete the first. It is easy to let an entire day get away in this way and not really get anything done.

To combat this issue, make sure your tasks are prioritized. Focus on one goal at a time. See it through until you have a result. Once that is done then move onto the next thing and put all your effort in again. When you do get side tracked, review your list and find your focus.

Keep It Rollin

Once you nail down what you need to be doing, and focus on getting it done, then just keep rollin. It feels so good to knock things off your list. Once you get one thing done it helps to boost you forward to keep getting things done. Once you start, don’t stop! Your list should never be complete, you should constantly be adding new things to it. Push yourself to accomplish as much as possible each day.

Work Together

Find someone to work with. I love that I can work with my husband and that we can throw our ideas around with each other. I love setting new goals with him and working together to achieve them. Find someone who is going to encourage you and help you achieve your goals. Find someone who will help you dream and then hold you accountable to achieving them.

Don’t let your day get wasted away. Not all things can be measured by results, such as spending time with family, however each day you should have a list of things you can accomplish to take you closer to your dreams. Build out your list, focus on accomplishment and keep rolling forward to your goals. Life is short, go get your dreams!
